AB Amber Grid signed an agreement on the EU financial support for the construction of the Klaipėda-Kuršėnai gas transmission pipeline

Lithuania's Natural Gas Transmission System Operator, AB Amber Grid, and the European Union’s (EU) Innovation Network Executive Agency (INEA) signed an agreement on the EU's financial support for the construction of the Klaipėda-Kuršėnai gas transmission pipeline. Under this agreement, the Project will be granted the EU support of EUR 27.6 million under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

The Executive Committee of the BASREC (the Baltic Sea Region Energy Cooperation) has published of a call for tenders for the preparation of a study on the development of regional gas market in the eastern Baltic Sea Region.

AB Amber Grid Was Issued With An Open-ended Gas Transmission System Operator's Licence

Pursuant to applicable provisions of the European Union's (hereinafter – the EU) Third Energy Package, which obligates EU member states to unbundle their gas transmission activities from natural gas companies engaged in gas production and supply activities, on 10 April 2015, the procedure for the certification of Lithuania's Natural Gas Transmission System Operator, AB Amber Grid, was successfully completed.

On 25 March 2015 the Board of Directors of AB Amber Grid approved the draft agenda and draft decisions of the General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on 23 April 2015

The draft agenda of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders covers the issues of the approval of AB Amber Grid 2014 financial statements, profit (loss) allocation, selection of the audit company and amendment of the Company's Bylaws.

The draft resolution proposed to the Meeting provides for the payment of dividend in amount of LTL 200.2 million (EUR 58 million).

The National Commission for Energy Control and Prices Approves AB Amber Grid's Ten-year Network Development Plan for 2014–2023

On 20 March 2015, the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices approved Lithuania's Natural Gas Transmission System Operator's, AB Amber Grid's, Ten-year Network Development Plan for 2014–2023.

The Ten-year Network Development Plan was developed in consideration of applicable provisions of Lithuania's National Strategy documents and with a view to the needs of gas market participants, to securing gas supply reliability and operational efficiency of the gas transmission system, the Company's environmental policy and applicable legislative provisions.
