Positive financial performance of AB Amber Grid in 2016 was driven by a considerable increase of income

In 2016 an increased demand for services of Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator AB Amber Grid has determined a significant growth of income and operational profit of the Company, respectfully. Reported results are preliminary and unaudited.

Natural Gas Transmission System Operators of the Baltic States Sign Cooperation Agreement on Implementation of Implicit Capacity Allocation Model

On 23 January 2017, the Baltic States natural gas transmission system operators (TSOs), AB Amber Grid (Lithuania), AS Conexus Baltic Grid (Latvia), Elering AS (Estonia), signed a Cooperation Agreement on the Implementation of the Implicit Capacity Allocation Model. The introduction of this model marks a concrete step towards the integration of the national gas markets of the Baltic States. The transmission system operators are introducing the innovations to the capacity allocation model in order to enhance the competitiveness of the Baltic States gas markets and in order to promote cross-border trade in gas.

Introduction of amendments to agreements on the EU financial assistance to the Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania (GIPL) project

Lithuania’s natural gas transmission system operator, AB Amber Grid, and Poland’s gas transmission system operator, GAS-SYSTEM S.A., together with the European Union (EU) Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) have introduced amendments to the tripartite EU financial support agreements under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for the Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania (GIPL) project preparatory works and construction works.
