The Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator AB Amber Grid has received high rating in Europe. AB Amber Grid was nominated among the seven finalists in the European gas industry awards – European Gas Awards of Excellence – organised for the fourth time.
Today, 3 December 2014, marks the launch of operations of the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Facility in Klaipeda. Gas supplies from the LNG Terminal to the Lithuanian Natural Gas System come through the Transmission System Entry Point, which connects the Transmission System with the LNG Terminal in Klaipeda.
Pursuant to applicable provisions of the Republic of Lithuania Law on Natural Gas, AB Amber Grid has prepared a Ten Year (2014–2023) Gas Transmission Network Development Plan and is submitting it for public consultation.
On 5 November 2014, the Gas Interconnection Poland – Lithuania project was granted by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania the status of a project of national economic significance.
Lithuania's natural gas transmission system operator, AB Amber Grid, informs the public that Lithuania's natural gas transmission system is fully balanced and that gas transportation to Lithuania’s gas transmission system users is being carried out according to the demand expressed by the gas transmission system users themselves.
