The Lithuanian natural gas transmission system operator AB Amber Grid has received high rating in Europe. AB Amber Grid was nominated among the seven finalists in the European gas industry awards – European Gas Awards of Excellence – organised for the fourth time.
On 27 November 2014 the National Control Commission for Prices and Energy reviewed and approved the new version of the Rules for the Use of the natural gas transmission system of AB Amber Grid and the new version of the Rules for the balancing of the natural gas transmission system of AB Amber Grid, to be effective from 1 January 2015.
Lithuania's Gas Transmission System Operator, AB Amber Grid, has submitted its 10-year Gas Transmission Network Development Plan (2014–2023) for public consultation.
On 20 November 2014, the National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (hereinafter – the Commission) approved the natural gas transmission service tariffs (effective from 1 January 2015) that were set by the Board of Directors of AB Amber Grid on 5 November 2014.
At 15:00 hours of 15 November 2014, Lithuania's natural gas transmission system operator, AB Amber Grid received in its system the first test shipment of natural gas from the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal in Klaipėda.
