Following the European Parliament and of the Council Regulation (EC) No. 715/2009 Article 12, every two years, all Transmission System Operators (TSO) have to publish their 10-year Gas Regional Investment Plans. In 2017, the TSOs of the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP) developed their Gas Regional Investment Plan for 2017–2026.

It provides an outlook of the development of the regional gas market, an update on regional initiatives and highlights the changes since the release of the second edition of BEMIP GRIP in 2014. The present publication focuses on the analysis of a number of major gas infrastructure projects to be implemented within the region and their impact on the development of the regional gas market.

The BEMIP Region’s Gas Regional Investment Plan was prepared by the following TSOs: Gasum Ltd (Finland), AB Amber Grid (Lithuania), Energinet DK (Denmark), Elering AS (Estonia), AS Conexus Baltic Grid (Latvia), GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. (Poland) and Swedegas AB (Sweden).
