Dalius Svetulevičius Elected Chairman of the Board of Amber Grid

The Amber Grid Board elected Dalius Svetulevičius, Member of the Board of Amber Grid and Technical manager at UAB EPSO-G, as Chairman of the Board at its meeting on 22 November 2022. In the EPSO-G Group, D. Svetulevičius is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the strategy for the management of technological assets and the implementation of investment plans.

D. Svetulevičius joined EPSO-G in 2021, prior to which he worked at Amber Grid for three years as Head of Asset Management. D. Svetulevičius has also headed the Network Operations Service at Energijos skirstymo operatorius (ESO) and served on the Board of Lietuvos dujos.
“The stability, security, and reliability of the Lithuanian gas transmission network remains a key focus of the company. This is particularly important in the current sensitive energy situation. We will continue to make every effort to achieve Amber Grid’s vision of becoming an environmentally friendly and innovative energy company in an integrated European gas network. Thoughtful infrastructure development and reliable transmission of large volumes of energy in Lithuania and beyond are key challenges for the company. In recent years, the company has shown that it is capable of facing them, as reflected in this year’s implementation of the GIPL gas pipeline between Lithuania and Poland and the progress of the ELLI project—an increase in gas transmission capacity between Lithuania and Latvia. Particular attention will be drawn to energy transformation, integration of green gas—hydrogen and biomethane—into the Lithuanian gas transmission network,” said D. Svetulevičius, the newly elected Chairman of the Board of Amber Grid.
The Board of Amber Grid currently consists of four members. In addition to D. Svetulevičius, the Board includes Karolis Švaikauskas, Head of the Energy Competitiveness Policy Group of the Ministry of Energy, and two independent Members of the Board: Sigitas Žutautas and Ignas Degutis.
